While completing her undergraduate work, she had the wonderful opportunity of working with Our VOICE where she facilitated prevention programming as well as assisted in coordinating Climbing Toward Confidence. She then began work systematically with Our VOICE through the Buncombe County Health Department’s Innovative Approaches, where she implemented a curriculum around healthy relationships and boundaries for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). At Our VOICE as the Rape Prevention and Education Coordinator she facilitates Shifting Boundaries within Buncombe County's middle schools, as well as coordinates the Sexual Violence & Domestic Violence Prevention Task Force.
